All-original and a bit wild, Vic & Linds’ style is rooted in folk but resembles everything else. Close your eyes and you’d swear you heard twins, with weaving rhythms, tight songs, and harmonies you just can’t pick apart.

Australia’s fiddler extraordinaire Lindsay Martin brings his virtuosic strings and velvet vocals to the fore, while New Zealand’s songstress Victoria Vigenser brings gritty lyric, driving rhythm and her magnificent voice to the mix. They’re packing hefty and emotional punches, but with hands wrapped in silk, and songs to heal the scars.

Both accompanists by trade, their shared approach to harmony and musicianship makes for a full sound. They met at a rainy festival in NZ’s capital one day, and have since worked and played across the Tasman to produce a long-awaited (...avoided) album of Vigenser’s original material. They set off on an experimental tour, and their duo show received such a warm welcome from audiences across AU and NZ that they decided to keep it up. Now they’re back with even more hooky new material- it’s bound to leave your heart jumping and your head spinning.
