McGregor Hall

In July 2024, we completed renovations on our upstairs premises and opened a new facility, McGregor Hall, which is intended to complement the downstairs venue with two additional performance spaces, a balcony and commercial art gallery.

Performance Space 1– The Red Room

The Red Room has a capacity of around 75 and features a beautiful baby grand piano, a modular stage (3.6x2.4 metres), a 32 channel sound system, a five metre ceiling and a balcony. It’s a more ‘live’ room acoustically and is very suited to recitals, acoustic folk gigs, piano concerts, spoken word, comedy etc. It is not great for loud bands with drums.

Performance Space 2 – The Bar

With a capacity of approx. 50, the Bar is painted deep green and features a stage (4x3metres), a 16 channel sound system, a reed organ (semi-functional), a Hammond organ, an upright piano and a fully stocked bar with drinks hot and cold.

Civic Art Bureau

Civic Art Bureau is a commercial art galley and project office owned and operated by local artist Adam Bell. The Bureau hosts monthly exhibitions of top quality local contemporary art in the 50 square metre upsatirs space and has a window gallery on the veranda at street level below.
