Ever at the ready to challenge the prudish, prurient, wowser types and their notions that nudity is inherently associated with sexuality and is to be abhorred in all situations except, or even including, the marital boudoir, Smith’s presents Unclothed People Doing Things.
Our MC, the inconceivably witty and charming Chris Endrey, will guide us through the following unclothed entertainments:
Joel Hollands is an icthyologist, keen to elucidate the masses with facts and information about the wonderful world of fishes.
Fi Bonacci’s love of nerdy topics is only rivalled by her love of strutting around a room in flagrant deshabille. This evening she will be regaling us with things eminently regalable.
Jason Recliner are a quintessentially Aussie band, with songs about West Wyalong, the Lyneham Motor Inn and other such pretentious subject matters. Incredibly, oh so deftly, they sidestep and intersect both over-intellectualisation and bogan anti-intellectualism with a judicious mix of metaphorical ankle taps, funny field goals and frequent side-line dashes of analogies, similes and occasional unintended non-seqiturs. The ‘band’ on this occasion will consist of songwriter Jeff and drummer Chris (Endrey) unless, in the next 20 hours, any of the rest of them can be convinced to perform naked.
Layla Bounce wants to shock you. To describe her act would possibly limit her ability to achieve full high voltage shock value. It’s hard to talk about this without either setting your expectations too high (and thus leaving you open to disappointment), or giving the game away (and thus eliminating any chance of you actually being shocked). If, that is, you want to be shocked (c’mon, of course you do).
Joshua Bell is a librarian, improv actor and poet. Come and see him do improvised poems about being a librarian, and other things.
Cuddlefish are shy creatures with flesh that can change colour to express their emotions. They’re rarely seen in public, mostly preferring to share their incendiary gifts amongst fellow fiends in debaucherous after-parties or random moments of leisure time. Catch them this one night, fully exposed, their tendrils quivering, with nothing between them and you but the water we breathe.
