The Lonely Fates are a happy-go-lucky band formed by two mates, Fiona Bolton & Randall Blair (ex The Wedded Bliss). The two songwriters create a swirling harmony of piano, guitar and voice, and are complemented by Cameron Burns on bass (Fred Smith Band) and Chris Thwaite (Brass Knuckle Brass Band) on drums.
Driven by the collaborative song writing of Fiona & Blair, the band's music is both nostalgic and spellbinding. The echoes of the ‘70s singer-songwriter era and the sensibilities of modern life resonate throughout their lyrics and melodies. The Lonely Fates can be found performing carousing toe-tappers, sunny pop, moody ballads and wounded love songs. Indie-folk & classic pop aficionados will love the band’s original songs.
The band has emerged from the Canberra music scene over the past year, and has impressed audiences with their strong performances and engaging on-stage charm. The band is set to play the 2024 Major’s Creek Folk Festival and are currently working on their debut album.
Fancy Nick Delatovic and The Empty Lake Singers are a literate and sweaty bar band who stretch gang harmonies across rough-hewn ballads and glam-country stompers. A heartbroken good-time act who play fatalistic anthems of loss-in-triumph and triumphant loss.
Flamboyant fronthuman Nick is a proudly queer singer-songwriter from Canberra who has amassed a super-group of cuties from bands such as Black Mountain String Band, Los Chavos and Bec Taylor and the Lyrebirds.
Their group ambition is to perfect the art of being festival rats around the Canberra and South Coast regions.
