March this year marked ten years since Bevan 'retired' from public servitude. The traditional ten year gift is tin, while the modern one is diamonds. Instead of just having a party, Bevan has decided to organise something he has been talking about for almost all of those ten years!

So the purpose of this gig is to 'get in the can' a couple of local 'rough diamonds' who are beloved by audiences, but who have famously never recorded. Namely

- Cuddlefish
   and
- Jason Recliner

The plan is that proceeds from ticket sales will go towards having the recordings mixed ready for release. Smith's would love all of their friends and fans to join us for this celebratory occasion.

(Note: Smith's Alternative will NOT be going faux Irish for the occasion - except perhaps for one period of about 3 minutes during the gig. Should you choose to bring or wear your own Irish accoutrements, there will be no objection)
