'From Wench We Came' are : Jane Baker & Victoria McGrath (Yass); Lizz Murphy & Robyn Sykes (Binalong). Four poets from the Yass Valley share poetry reflecting their diverse experiences and passions. They write micro poetry and prose poetry, free verse and performance poetry. They write about changing landscapes, social issues, world conflict, rural challenges, the environment. The teacher became a wildcare worker, the psychologist a small business person, the publicist a Tai Chi teacher, the scientist a sheep farmer … and all sorts of things in between. Sooner or later along the way all four of them turned to words. They are published inter/nationally, have performed in an assortment of programs and have won awards of different kinds.
