Born in Bucharest, Romania, Daniel’s work has been published in Australia (Short Bursts of Eternity – Flying Islands, Pentimento – Interactive Publications), Romania, and in USA. He also shares poetry through translations – Testament - 400 Years of Romanian Poetry, a representative collection of Romanian poetry in English (winner of the translation prize of 2019, in Bucharest) and The Bessarabia of My Soul – representing, also in English, poets from the Republic of Moldova (Poetry Prize in Moldova – 2018). Return Ticket from Sydney to Bistrita - A Lyrical Carousel between the Antipodes unites, again bilingually, two groups of poets 17000 kilometers apart: ‘The Judith Beveridge Poetry Clas’ from Sydney and ‘Bistrita Poetry Group’ from Romania launched May 2022 at the State Library of NSW – via zoom. Daniel is the current president of the Australian-Romanian Academy for Culture.
