Join us for the June edition of Soundscapes and see some of Canberra’s finest musicians in the fields of experimental, electronic and ambient sound.

Our feature artists for June include:

Happy Axe

Haunting the fringes between electro-acoustic, experimental, and pastoral indie, Happy Axe uses violin, musical saw and vocals to create layers of sound that are beautiful, unsettling and cinematic. Organic instrumental sounds are melded with digital manipulation, looping and effecting, and when performing, sounds are generated live.

Guyy

Guyy will be performing an improvised solo set using guitar, vocals and various gadgets. Building pieces of music with live samples to create large soundscapes and instrumentals.

Kid of Harith

Kid of Harith is the long-time music project of Canberra musician Matthew Robert Arnaudon.
Kid of Harith, now in its 10th year, has gone through several quiet permutations spanning folk, electronic, improvised soundscapes and experimental music. Now the project strips back and simplifies to its dark-folk roots.
