Hosted by Canberra’s newest Improv troupe, Troubador Impro, Smiths Varietal #152 will present a truly unique evening of entertainment. In a fresh take on the Varietal night format the troupe will weave their scene-work throughout an evening of diverse entertainment.
True to form you will see local works of dance, visual art, poetry and music; with each presentation being answered spontaneously by the improvisers, based on whatever inspiration the artist in question has provided.

Nick Lee-Murphy
Since time immemorial Nick has been a stalwart of the Canberra music scene. He is a soulful, humorous and energetic performer. One time, Ross Noble commented on his hair during a show, pretty cool right?

Fi Bonacci
As irrational as pi and as complex as i, burlesque performer Fi Bonacci will leave you wishing you were her derivative so you could lie tangent to her curves.

Dr Paul Collis
A Barkindji man, born in Bourke NSW and author of the award winning novel Dancing Home (2016). Currently a creative writing academic at UC, Dr Collis brings the songlines of our First Nation's People to share with us.

Josie Flo Art
To be honest Josie Flo has no idea what she's doing. She is a visual artist dance lauriate and part of the furniture at Smith's Alternative. Her grasp of twisted form and colour comes from the realm beyond conscious thought.

Troubador Impro
Troubador are the newest addition to Canberra's improvised theatre scene. They seek to explore the wondrous breadth of the human experience through spontaneity, story telling and song. Troubador are led by Damian Ashcroft and joined regularly by; Annette Savage, Ashleigh Blechynden, Gregory Barnes, Chris Thomas and Amy Ehsman
