“Magnificently entertaining. Such musicians are rare in this country.” (City News).
”The music, beyond being exceptionally well played, is always pretty and eminently approachable – a quality compounded by the choice of repertoire. John Shand” (The Sydney Morning Herald).
Australia's own Spanish-born, critically acclaimed international flamenco guitarist, PACO LARA presents a wondrous evening of Spanish guitar.
Paco Lara is a virtuoso with thirty years of experience traveling the world and is currently on tour in Australia presenting his solo guitar concert. This will be a special performance not to be missed and as unique as the man himself. His recent successes at the Sydney Opera House, Adelaide Guitar Festival and his national tour, are placing Lara’s flamenco flair at the top of the Australian music scene.
Paco Lara is considered the Spanish ambassador of this art form in Australia, representing the very best of flamenco from his hometown, Jerez, Spain.
In this exclusive concert at Smith's Alternative (Canberra), Paco will perform songs from his albums "The Andalusian Guitar" and "Duende".
Paco will feature an exceptional guest flamenco dancer, Deya Miranda Giner, fine tuning her dance skills with master dancers in Spain and performing internationally for over 2 decades. Deya is the director and principal dance instructor at Newcastle Flamenco Dance School.
