La Cantiga De La Serena’s repertoire spans from lullabies, tarantellas and pizziche (Puglia) to ancient Sephardic chants and romances; from medieval Christian songs of pilgrimage and devotion to splendid melodies of the Provençal, Arab-Andalusian and Irish traditions; from the improvised technique of the Arab maqam to the odd tempos of Middle Eastern and Balkan music. A thousand-year journey into the music of the Mediterranean shores.

Giorgia Santoro (flute, bass flute, bansuri, tin whistle)
Fabrizio Piepoli (voice, chitarra battente, daff)
Adolfo La Volpe (oud, guitar)
