Faramarz Aslani, born in 1954, in Tehran, Iran, was a prominent Iranian-American singer, songwriter, guitarist, and also an active philanthropist. He is renowned for his unique fusion of Persian folk, rock, and classical music, a blend that has garnered him a devoted fan base within Iran and among Persian-speaking audiences worldwide.
Faramarz Aslani released his first album, "Delmashghooliha" (Occupation of the Heart), with CBS Records in Iran in 1977, which featured his hit single "Age Ye Rooz" (If One Day). His songs have evolved into timeless music cherished by multiple generations, crossing cultural borders, and imprinting an enduring legacy on the Iranian musical landscape. Sadly, he died of cancer at a hospital in Maryland, US, on March 20 2024. His lasting influence continues to inspire musicians and deeply resonate with audiences worldwide.
