Directed by Maurissa Afanador (USA), who is Director of The Arts at Google Theater Program at the home of Google in Mountain View, California!

This show is exactly what it sounds like it is, and you might even have a chance to participate in the punniest show ever mounted at Smith’s, if pre-show sign-ups aren’t already full!

Maurissa leads a group of improvisers from across Australia and around the world in competitive and hilarious and sometimes horrible pun creation, in which you’ll be the judges, to find the inaugural Great Canberra Pun Contest Champion!

Then, from 8:45pm, see a range of musicians and singers, local, national, internationl, meeting for the first time and making everything up as they go along in Instant Band. They’re getting to know each other in preparation for the main program of Canberra International Improv Festival, and this little gem of an event has traditionally been one of the warmest and most popular moments in the festival. You might even get to play or sing with the band yourself, if you want!
