The simplest formula. The maximum impact. The Chris Harland Blues Band has the command and the precision to nail every number they play. Every CHBB set remains a memorable, musical event, revisiting the best of the Blues standards: B.B. King, Buddy Guy, Muddy Waters…
the list is long, the excitement sustained.
UK guitarist CHRIS HARLAND brings the tradition of British-made Electric Blues, the authentic riff-driven Chicago sound, a high-voltage heritage of Eric Clapton and Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page and Peter Green.

The Schnapperheads
Way way back in the day, when Canberra had plenty of music venues, dive bars and blues joints, The Schnapperheads got together. They treated this place like their own personal Hamburg 1960, playing a couple of gigs a week, sometimes a couple of gigs a day. They plied their trade in Texas blues, Hendrix and friends. That kind of thing. It got a bit loud sometimes. What with one thing and another, people moving around the world, regular jobs and families, they lost touch with each other, the way that happens, right? Anyhow, they’ve gotten back in touch, and with much gratitude to Smith’s Alternative, they are playing a reunion gig of sorts. Friday 24 March will have them back together to roll out some of these old songs again, even older this time around. Come and say hi if you like the blues (and nostalgia)!
