Sydney-based original Soul, Blues, Roots Rock band, Big Merino, stage the Canberra launch of their second album, 'Sweet Little Angel', at Smith's Alternative!

Big Merino is a genre-busting band featuring Stuart Davis (lead vocals/guitar), Alex Craig (lead guitar), Peter Richardson (bass) and Colin Sevitt (drums).
 
They play original songs that blur the lines between rock, country, blues, roots, soul and pop. Despite an obvious passion for Americana, their music somehow also sounds quintessentially Australian, shaped by the landscape and our own stories.

Lead singer and band leader, Stuart Davis, is also known for his roles as a founding member of the acclaimed Cafe of The Gate of Salvation gospel choir and the Heavenly Light Quartet, as well as a director and workshop leader for numerous community and school choirs around Australia.
