Beloved South Coast artist Val Moogz returns to Canberra/Ngunnawal for a special performance at Smith’s Alternative on Sunday 29 June, in celebration of their latest single Oh Beautiful.

Marking a heartfelt stop on the Friends Like Family Tour, this intimate performance will honour the power of chosen family and the quiet strength we carry through life’s heavier moments. Oh Beautiful is a tender ode to friendship - the kind that sees you through pain with laughter, gentleness, and presence. With lyrics like “I’ll be your family and you’ll be mine, we’ll make a home in the moments we sit in the sunshine”, the track is both a comfort and a call for connection.

For this special Canberra show, Val will be joined in duo mode by longtime collaborator Charlie Bamford on piano, bringing a stripped-back and emotionally rich take on their sound.

Opening the evening will be two exceptional local artists: Tim McNally, whose soul-stirring songwriting explores the quiet corners of the human experience, and Kimbo, with warm and gentle acoustic covers that mesmerise.
