Shanagolden is a four-piece Australian folk band performing Irish-influenced traditional music. The group is fronted by the expressive, richly toned vocals of Cassidy Buxton, supported by fiddle, bodhrán, accordion and bouzouki.

Blending evocative story songs and ballads with lively tune sets, the ensemble features Sandy Gibbney on fiddle, Bridget Hehir on piano accordion, and percussionist Jon Jones.

With decades of experience performing in established bands and as regular contributors to Canberra’s vibrant session scene, the members of Shanagolden bring seasoned musicianship and a deep appreciation of Australia’s folk traditions.
