Canberra locals Monica Carroll and Jen Webb co-feature in this our first event of 2018. By turns whip-smart, tender, funny and horrifying, you will be glad you roused yourself from your post-New-Year torpor and came out for this one. Open mic in the first half.

Monica Carroll is a writer, poet and lecturer at the University of Canberra. She holds a PhD in Philosophy and Poetry. Her creative work has been widely awarded and anthologised within Australia and abroad. Her first collection of poetry, Isolator, was released in September by Recent Work Press. Monica also colloborates with other artists under the guises of Magic&Medicine and Dudelsack Productions.

Jen Webb is Professor of Creative Practice at the University of Canberra. She has studied in South Africa, New Zealand, Canada and Australia and holds a PhD in cultural theory (art and society) and a DCA in writing (creativity and embodiment). Her books include Understanding Representation, the short story collection Ways Of Getting By and Understanding Foucault: A Critical Introduction (coauthored with Tony Schirato and Geoff Danaher).
