A night of luscious languages with Mother Tongue!

Already we can expect to hear work in Russian, Mongolian, Sinhalese, Cebuano, Mandarin, Hindi and Dari, more languages to come. 
The poets will also give an explanation, or full translation, in English.

Sign up to share a poem in a language other than English - or you can mix your languages, including English. It can be your own work, or a favourite by another poet. Classical, contemporary, hip hop or slam. Email mothertonguemic@gmail.com for more information and to sign up.

If you are interested in writing poetry in another language, or a mix of another language with English, you can also join a poetry writing and performance workshop, focused on multilingual writing, at the Civic Library Mezzanine from 2pm - 5pm on Sunday 5th August.
