Soundscapes is a monthly music night showcasing acts somewhere in the alternative / experimental / sound art / other / uncategorised zones. Our featured acts for October:

SCATTERED ORDER (SYD)
They founded the legendary Australian post punk M Squared label in 1980 and have been confounding listeners for decades with their genre-bending approach to sound. They’re launching their new album “A suitcase full of snow globes” and will be accompanied by live visuals from Living Science Dept. Expect industrial, electronics, loops, post/punk dissonance, thick chugging rhythms and slowly shifting patterns.

OKINAWA GIRLS
“We are a BluesNoisePunkPop duo from Canberra. We cannot tell you the dissonance - but we can tell you that cherry blossoms are blooming; that whiskey is with you in lonely mysterious nights, ripe and ethereal.”

TRIM B
Trim has been working for a while behind the scenes in Canberra's dance music scene. His hardware-based soundscapes are lush and continuously versatile, featuring vibrant pads and drums inspired by his own cross-section of taste. Expect a more eclectic take on his music.
