Smith’s Cabaret Cabal is an informal, semi-regular weekend of exploring Canberra’s ‘cabaret’ scene. Cabaret, in this instance, is loosely defined as ‘a form of theatrical entertainment featuring, but not limited to, music, song, dance, recitation, or drama’, often, as in this case, performed in bars or similar establishments. Generally it will consist of discrete one or two hour show formats and at times feature a house band between shows. In this case the House Band is the fabulous, enigmatic and utterly morbid Blue Angel and Doctor Wiedermann.
