Skink is an ambient instrumental project grounded in improvisation, deep listening, and exploratory sound. Emerging from a series of live sessions, the group’s upcoming release Liminoid—recorded at ANU Studios in October last year and due for release in May—captures the crystallisation of these spontaneous musical encounters into a cohesive sonic work.

Their performances invite audiences into a liminal space between structure and freedom. Drawing on fragments and frameworks from previous pieces, Skink reshape and reimagine their material in real time, allowing each performance to unfold as a unique, unrepeatable experience. Expect a night defined by risk, texture, and intuition—where improvisation becomes both method and outcome, and creativity is not just presented, but actively lived.

Skink will be supported by the amazing Ben Lanyon Trio and will also feature special guest Claudia Tetrault-Percy.
