Saxophonist Mark Ginsburg has initiated a number of exciting and highly creative jazz projects including the Mark Ginsburg Band, ‘Homage’, the Mezza/Ginsburg Ensemble and the popular South African Project. He has toured throughout Australia as well as internationally. His Generations Album was nominated for Best Independent Jazz Album by AIR in 2010 and Convergence was awarded Best Jazz CD 2018 by IAP in the USA. In the wings is a new recording to be released early next year, titled ‘Oceans Together’.

For this special return to Canberra, Mark will be reunited with former collaborators, pianist Gerard Masters and bassist Brendan Clarke and drummer Nick McBride, all of whom toured with Mark and Judy Campbell’s ‘Mosaic’. This promises to be a special reunion.

Mark’s appearances in Canberra have always proved popular and this all-star quartet promises to be no exception. Expect a diverse mix of Mark’s original compositions as well as a selection of jazz standards.
