Since relocating to the ACT in 2017, award winning bassist Brendan Clarke has teamed up with two of his old stablemates pianist Hugh Barrett and drummer Mark Sutton. Clarke and Barrett were both long time members of the Jazzgroove Mothership Orchestra, The Neilsen Gough Quartet and The Denominators. Hugh Barrett is one of the most talented pianists of his generation and his extraordinary talents shine in the trio setting. Sutton and Clarke's association goes back to the mid nineties when they were both students at the Canberra School of Music.

Their combined sense of musicality, groove and timing is well known and is a highly respected rhythm section among their peers. Mark Sutton has been a driving force on the national scene for many years and was recently featured in "Drum Scene" magazine. The trio have been exploring original compositions by the members as well as the music of John Coltrane, Bud Powell, Kenny Barron and Mulgrew Miller amongst others.
