“She gotta lotta soul,” said Freddy King’s right-hand-man, guitarist Andrew ‘Junior Boy’ Jones.

Ali Penney and the Money Makers have won SIX Australian Blues “Chain” Awards, picking up Group of the Year 2010 and 2014, Album of the Year for And On It Goes, Best Female Vocal 2012 and 2014 and Ali shared the Producer of the Year Award with And On It Goes co-producer Phil Punch.

She may consider herself a pianist first and this shows in her skills on the keys, but the honest vulnerability in Ali Penney’s vocals has won her the Chain awards for her singing.

With a dose of the blues, a spattering of funk and a sprinkling of soul and boogie, Ali Penney and The Money Makers are regarded as one of this country’s must see acts on the blues club/festival circuit.

Ali’s songs take the listener on a journey through blues, shuffles, pop, soul, ballads, jungle beats and good ol' rock n roll with Ali's quirky take on life, romance and the human condition.

Joining Ali will be Matt Ross on guitar, Mike Rix on bass and Rosscoe Clark on drums. All of these fabulous musicians are in leading bands, Foreday Riders, Charlie A’Court, Harry Brus Band to name but a few.
