Bar Flys is a showcase event run by Australian Songwriters Association Canberra. ASA is a national not-for-profit organization that fosters new and long-time song-makers. Canberra ASA runs a Song Circle, Feature Concerts and Songwriter Road Trips. It's a great ACT Community. ASA nationally runs an annual Songwriting Contest and many regional gigs and concerts under the name Wax Lyrical.

Sam Floyd (aka Recklass Knecklass) is a genderbending storyteller, poet and fashion icon who “sings” and plays raucous fingerpicking guitar. He grew up in the circus, pursued playwrighting for many years, and now pays the bills as Canberra's sexiest qualified baker.

Shiny Bum Singers are a seasoned collection of sh*t-stirrers with a wonderful and original collection of political spoofs, parodies and send-ups as only those who’ve trod the corridors of the APS can tell authentically. “We encourage audience participation. You may notice some shambolic choreography, adhoc harmony and consensual anarchy – that’s what makes us such fun!”

Jedda Do crafts warm, funny, soul-felt songs from the mysteriously personal to the “yeah, I’ve been there” aha moments, we all need to connect with. When she’s not heading up “Daybed Promises”, she’s a solo performer with an uncanny insight and depth.

Curated by Katie Cole, “We're Talking Again” is a group of Classical Music lovers that WILL do originals, so long as we throw in a bit of Mozart SOMEWHERE! Something weird happened during Covid and we weren't friends anymore, but now WE'RE TALKING AGAIN… and the game is: spot the Mozart!
