In 2005, the “Straight Up” Trio was formed in Canberra by the great American bassist Eric C. Ajaye featuring Michael Azzopardi on piano/keyboards, and Chris Thwaite on drums. They independently released two albums “The Flow” and “Another Year”, and did countless performances in Canberra and around the country.

Since then, their careers have taken them in different directions, but after not performing as a trio for over 15 years they are reuniting for the first time at Smith’s Alternative to perform their original music. It promises to be a very special night of music - one not to be missed.
