Jackie Orszaczky was a legendary Hungarian - Australian bass player, vocalist, composer, arranger, producer and bandleader, covering a variety of styles from funk, jazz, R&B and experimental rock. He initially toured Australia with the famous Hungarian jazz rock band Syrius in 1970 and returned in 1973 to join the prog rock band Bakery. Between 1975-78 he was musical director of Marcia Hines.

Over the years Jackie created various groups which were always on the cutting edge of the Sydney scene, including Bland Frenzy, the Godmothers and Jump Back Jack which featured funk and soul in the style of James Brown as well as original music. Jackie was an inspiration to younger musicians and he often gave them help on their way to becoming professional musicians.

This tribute band will feature James Greening - trombone, Miroslav Bukovsky - trumpet, John Mackey – sax, Peter O’Mara - guitar, Lachlan Coventry - bass and Hamish Stuart - drums.
