FEATURING Stéphanie Pouliquin, a teacher of French language and culture. She studied arts history and languages in France and moved to Australia in 2001 after living in Germany and Italy. Under her pen name Ambrosia, she writes poetry inspired by nature, the philosopher Friedrich Nietzsche and Ancient Greek Philosophy. She collaborated with two other artists to present 'Voetry @ Smith's Alternative' in 2023, which merged the text of poetry with the sonic expression of music and sound, and the semiotics of cinema.
Ambrosia will be reading from her recently published book Beyond Reality/Au-delà du réel., a book of poetry in French and English inspired by personal experiences, philosophy and mythology. Through intimate and sensitive writing, she invites readers into her inner world, offering a poetic exploration of memory, identity and the moments that shape her.
OPEN MIC spots available. You will have up to 4 minutes. All styles welcome - but performance must include a language or languages other than English.
