Local Gold showcases the best and latest original music acts in Canberra.

Hosted by lovable local rockstar, Pete Lyon, the three part show opens with a proven emerging talent and progresses to a headline set from a higher profile established favourite. Most acts are local, but it’s pretty Canberra to welcome visitors too, right.

Local Gold is intimate, fun and entertaining, with an emphasis on authentic artistic expression in original contemporary songwriting. So, if you love hearing local talent, new and old, raw or polished, make this a recurring appointment in your calendar!

Appearing Monday December 1st 2025: Liz Caddy, Caramel and Capo Creek

Capo Creek (where the water is sweet and the music even sweeter)

Capo Creek are a longstanding and exciting local duo who switch seamlessly between outlaw country, acoustic blues and poignant ballads (murder ballads even). For Local Gold,they’re keen to present some pared back versions of the album’s songs, plus a few even newer originals. A special guest from Canberra’s folk music royalty might join them on the tiny stage for a song or two as well.

Caramel

Nathalie (accordion) and Cedric (guitar) formed Caramel in 2025 to share their passion for French songs, both covers and originals. 

Liz Caddy

Liz Caddy is a local singer-songwriter specialising in oversharing through music. Whether she's performing a song which serenades her cat or damns her ex, she does it with passion, humour and a dash of sass.
