Come celebrate the Canberra launch of Jack Phemister's debut album; 'Death of the Close Minded'! Join us for an afternoon of new music, with support from Evan Buckley of The Burley Griffin.

Jack Phemister is a songwriter and performer from Yass, NSW, currently residing in Melbourne. Enamoured by poetry and voice leading, he explores the interactions of the mind with its surrounds, and voice with guitar. Key influences include writers like Elliott Smith, Leonard Cohen, and Nick Cave.

The album is an exploration of the difficulties in recognising ones faults, and finding the right voice - 10 songs detailing the efforts we take to come out of our experiences as ‘better’, and more open-minded people.

Phemister will be joined by Thomas Bell (woodwinds) and Max Sturm (guitar).
