Hazel Hall is a prizewinning Australian poet, musicologist and author of four poetry collections, four chapbooks (one coauthored with prizewinning poets Sandra Renew and Moya Pacey) and a radio play. Hazel was founder and coordinator of the School of Music Poets from 2012-2018 and directed Poetry at Manning Clark House from 2018-2023. She has judged three international tanka competitions. Coauthored with Moya Pacey, her latest book, Featherfall (2026) is a dialogue on the way human beings interact with birds.

Moya Pacey’s third collection, Doggerland (Recent Work Press 2020) was highly commended in 2021 Australian Capital Territory Book of the Year Awards.

Her poetry has been published in Australia and overseas and has featured on buses and radio, in galleries and has appeared in print and online journals and anthologies and won prizes. She was a founding editor of the women’s on-line journal, Not Very Quiet, and was awarded a Canberra Critics’ Circle Award in 2019. In October 2018, she was the Poet in Residence at the Elizabeth Bishop House in Great Village, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Most recently, her poetry has been published in Studio, Eucalyptus Tanka Journal 40, Meuse Press, FemAsia, and one of her poems has been longlisted for the 2026 University of Canberra Health Prize.
