CoCanberra is a group of SEE-Change in Canberra, and is the Canberra Regional Hub of NENA, the New Economy Network of Australia.

Our work moves the Canberra region towards providing for its own needs through a linked network of community owned and controlled co-operatives.

This month we will have an interview and QnA with Katherine Trebeck.

Katherine’s roles include Economic Change Lead at The Next Economy, Strategic Advisor to the Centre for Policy Development, and teaching at the University of Edinburgh. She is a Distinguished Vistor at ANU's Planetary Health Equity Hothouse, was 2024 thinker-in-residence at the Australian Health Promotion Association, is a New Economics Senior Fellow at the The Zoe Institute, and is a Fellow of The Post Growth Institute. She co-founded the Wellbeing Economy Alliance (WEAll) and also WEAll Scotland, its Scottish hub, and instigated the group of Wellbeing Economy Governments (WEGo) – comprising Scotland, New Zealand, Finland, Wales, Iceland, and Canada – the story of which is the subject of the documentary ‘Purpose’. She is a WEAll global Ambassador and Strategic Advisor to WEAll Australia.

Our meetups are not boring organising meetings, instead we have a talk or panel followed by QnA, or perhaps some other random event! We begin at 12 noon, and finish by 2pm. Everyone is welcome to join us.

Whether you want to find out more, make connections, talk theory, find the others, or get stuck into actually building the environmental and social solutions we so desperately need, the monthly NENA Canberra Region / CoCanberra meetups are for you!

We meet  at midday on the 4th Sunday of every month at Smiths Alternative - 76 Alinga Street, Canberra City- go upstairs then turn left twice. This is a licensed venue, so if you are underage, you need to bring along a legal guardian.

We set up a zoom link for most meetups, so people can attend either in person or online.
