We Mavericks

Lindsay Martin (AU) and Victoria Vigenser (NZ) interweave soulful strings, vocals and rhythm to form a singular, intense musical voice. Masters in the art of connection, this troubadour duo have an inexplicable appeal that has seen them on a steep rise to countless festival billings, nominated “Best Folk Artist” twice in both the New Zealand Music Awards and the Australian Folk Music Awards, plus selection as showcase artists at Folk Alliance International. The couple have been called contemporary folk, alt-country and acoustic pop, but words don’t capture their unbelievable musical kinship, or the heart-opening way they relate to their audiences. 

The coming year sees them touring Australia, New Zealand, the United Kingdom and much of Europe with their highly anticipated sophomore release. They return to Smith's Alternative to share songs from the upcoming album, plus a selection of favourites from their debut “Grief’s a Gardener”.
