The Guitar Cases and Sunset Palaminos

Outlaw country blues from our region’s hardest working prison house band. The Judge had no choice when they were found guilty of playing traditional blues tunes in a country style at a blues festival in 2018 – they’ve been doing hard time ever since. Fortunately the Warden is a blues and roots fan and has agreed to day release for The Guitar Cases band for this gig at Smith’s. Thanks Warden, you’re mighty generous.

Spawned from the bloodline of the Black Horses, the Sunset Palaminos have ventured into more guitar driven territory, keeping a strong melodic core. Still with a killer rhythm section and stellar harmonies, their songs speak to the wide open skies.
