Soundscapes is a monthly music night showcasing acts somewhere in the alternative / experimental / sound art / other / uncategorised zones. Our featured acts for November:

HANNAH LORD & ELLIE MALBON
Hannah weaves her way between the worlds of classical, folk, and electronic music. She has played hammered dulcimer around Canberra as part of the folk duo Dulcet Tones, played violin with classical ensembles, and collaborated on several shows with Fang Lao dance company.
Ellie’s poems have been published nationally by Express Media, Grapple Publishing, and Block, and internationally by New River Press (UK). Her words have a distinctly ecological flavour and she has completed residencies in the Kosciuszko National Park (NSW), Hepburn Shire (VIC), and Devonshire (UK).

KIMMO VENNONEN & DAVID KEANY
Kimmo Vennonen improvises with feedback. David Keany works on a large blackboard with coloured chalk, drawing abstract lines inspired by and inspiring the musician.

PXXL DXSCHXSNE & FOSSIL RABBIT
Fossil Rabbit uses laptop and guitar to create loops that are electronica-ish/sound-scapey/post-rock-esque .
Pxxl Dxschxsne is a composer/producer/whatever based in Canberra.
