Smith's Poetry Jam is an open mic and writing workshop rolled into one.

Bring along poems, be they your own or someone else’s, and share in a non-competitive open mic. Afterwards, sharpen your pen nibs for a round of immediate writing responses, then watch as new poems are composed in front of your very eyes!

Also featured on the night is Smith's Monthly Micropoem Prize where a poem consisting of 100 characters or less written on a random topic is chosen by applause to be placed on the bottom of the till receipts for the next month. It’s a true collector's item to go with your coffee! Being published has never been so disposable!

The night kicks off at 7pm and entry is free. Participation is encouraged but not mandatory (you probs would want to anyway, it's really fun).
