Shortis and Simpson shows are always themed and tightly scripted. Three years ago they broke that tradition when Nigel at Smith’s suggested they do a gig with no theme or script, just an eclectic mix of songs, each introduced by the stories in their heads, like real musicians do. He even gave them a title- Off the Cuff.

Now they’re back with a brand new Off the Cuff, same concept, but with a totally different bunch of covers and originals.Of course there’ll be a good smattering of satire, and humour, as well as the usual poignancy.
