Lulu Swing is a tasteful gypsy swing sextet of guitars, violin, double bass and percussion. The band returns to Smith's joined by soulful local vocalist Monica Moore, renewing their very well-received collaboration at the 2016 National Botanic Gardens Summer Series.

The Lulu Swing sound offers an eclectic blend of traditional and modern ‘gypsy jazz’ swing with Latin rhythmic side dishes of bossa, bolero, tango and valse musette. Anticipate a groove that is sometimes sweet and dreamy, sometimes hot and frenetic, but always melodic, lyrical and uplifting. Think Django and Stephane, Oscar Aleman, Lulo Reinhardt, Hank Marvin. This collaboration with Monica will have you travelling back to the thirties with Beryl Davis through to contemporary jazz divas like Diana Krall and places in between.
