Her voice is a beautiful ray of sunshine illuminating the landscape of the listener’s universe. Lani is a talent of the highest order” - Kenneth Lampl - American Composer.

Lani is a passionate and inspiring vocalist, her ability to evoke emotion within an audience only matched by her breathtaking vocal range. Currently, Lani spends her time perfecting her talent at ANU's School of Music in a Bmus Jazz Performance Degree, and honing her art as a singing teacher, songwriter and performer across Canberra.

Since her arrival to Canberra in 2016, Lani was the recipient of both the 2017 Bill Hyslop Voice Prize and Erika Haas prize awarded by the ANU. Lani was also the recipient of the Christel Larko Music Scholarship (2016) and has been invited to perform at the Government House (2016), the Italian Ambassador's Residence (2017), the Austrian Ambassador's Residence (2017) and the Danish Ambassador's Residence (2017).

Lani released her debut EP Fallen From Grace in February 2018 and has since toured the East Coast with shows in Canberra (Smiths Alternative), Newcastle (The Underground), Sydney (LazyBones) and Melbourne (Paris Cat Jazz Club). Fallen From Grace has since featured on ArtSound FM (ACT), QBN FM (NSW) and Joy FM (VIC), with a spread in the Newcastle Herald and as Editor’s Choice in BMA magazine. The EP features a mixture of evocative and highly complex original material and unique and detailed arrangements of music that Lani adores.

As Lani has recently accepted an offer to study at Indiana University, Bloomington for the Fall of 2018, this is her final show of the year. Lani will present some of the beloved tunes from her EP, as well as some new arrangements and original songs that are very close to her heart. She will be backed by an equally talented band featuring Caleb Campbell (piano), Isaac Said (bass), Alexander Wanjura (drums) and Thomas Colemanbell (saxophone).
