Lani returns to Smith's after a semester studying jazz voice in the USLani's Ascension: Jazz with Soul
Lani has recently returned from a semester abroad studying Jazz Voice at Indiana University and is now finishing up her Bmus Jazz Performance degree at ANU while continuing to teach, compose and perform throughout the Canberra region.
While in the US, Lani was under the guidance of renowned jazz musicians including Walter Smith III, Dr Kenneth Brian Edmonds (aka Babyface) and Sachal Vasandani. Lani also performed with the IU Soul Revue and Latin Jazz Ensemble.
Featuring Caleb Campbell on piano, the duo will present some of their favourite tunes, including songs from Lani's debut EP 'Fallen From Grace' and new original material and arrangements inspired by Lani's time in the US. You won't want to miss this evening of intimate musical collaboration.
