As part of Canberra Tree Week, Kindred Trees, That Poetry Thing and Smith's Alternative come together for a tree themed poetry reading celebrating nine new poems joining the Kindred Trees project, which asks a Canberra poet to respond to a local tree.

New poems by Jacqui Malins, Jen Webb, Amanda McLeod, Chris Collins, Shazad Hathi, Samia Goudie, S K Kelen and Tony Steven Williams will be performed, and if there is time, there will be an open mic for the audience to also share tree poetry.

Kindred Trees is where the poems are published along with a photo of the tree and the poet who has honoured it.
