After her recent debut album launch, “Turn On The Lights”, Canberra’s indie-folk singer Kim Yang is embarking on a creative European adventure for a year.

Over the past six months, Kim has returned to Australia from living abroad, performed at a few festivals, released an album and toured to promote it. This farewell show isn’t a goodbye but a “see you later” soon.

Joining Kim at her final show will be a songwriters’ circle featuring some prolific Canberra artists, followed by a Kim Yang band set in the second half of the event.

About Kim Yang:

Taiwanese-Australian singer-songwriter Kim Yang creates music that transcends cultures, languages and emotional landscapes.  Her indie-folk sound is enriched by global influences and explores themes of identity, belonging, mental health and human connection.  Blending indie-folk, cinematic soul and bilingual storytelling, her debut album Turn On The Lights chronicles her journey as a late-diagnosed ADHDer, an immigrant and a woman navigating mental health and fertility challanges.  From self-doubt to self-discovery and ultimately self-acceptance, the album paints a vivid picture of her personal growth.
