Now this is a rare find - JAMES FAHY, back in Canberra, and not just playing a show with blockbuster acoustic protagonists HASHEMOTO but playing .with. them, that is, with the Hashies as the band?! "Just," you mutter under your breath, "might be crazy enough to work." My thought exactly.
For those pitching this event to loved ones and co-workers:
James Fahy is an eagle-voiced finger-picker who is so in love with Canberra he literally has a song called "Northbourne".
Hashemoto are literally, ie. in a very non-figurative way, my favourite live band on the planet - close harmonies riding the thermals above a landscape of perfectly constructed gems brought up from a rare song-mine deep under Mount Ainslie.
Also they're technically a supergroup because it has members of Bec Taylor and the Lyrebirds, Fun Machine, Yes/No and James Fahy Trio in the one band (Bec).
This will be a one of a kind, rare, blink and you'll miss it, wonderful type of a thing. See you there!
