Hugh F crafts tender, funny, and unflinchingly honest folk songs with the help of his velvet voicebox and a finely tuned radar for life’s quiet absurdities. Singing started as a way to relax the tension in his throat — a physical release that, almost accidentally, became a way to document the odd joys and heartbreaks of growing up a country boy on Dudhuroa Country.
Based in Melbourne but spiritually stationed somewhere between a North East Victorian paddock and the Wodonga Plaza food court, Hugh has quietly built a loyal following across Australia and beyond. He’s toured nationally with Darren Hanlon, supported Chastity Belt in the U.S., and somehow gone viral on TikTok singing about rats and horses.
Hugh will be joined at Smith's by his new friend, Pascale. Pascale is a musician and an all-around creative soul, whose hometown is Canberra. Her music is a mix of poems surrounding life and nature and intuitively written guitar chords. This year, Pascale released her first official music video and is currently working on her first album set to come out in 2026.
