“I’ll try not to gush too much... it’s right up my alley; dreamy melodic pop with a twist” – Dean Hanson, Ball Park Music, 2018

Butternut Sweetheart is the music of producer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist, Luke Moseley. After many years working in the music industry in live production (Ball Park Music, Rüfüs, Paul Kelly, Sarah Blasko), recording (Emma Davis, Lady Lyon) and performing (Cassie Davis, RW Grace, Matt McHugh), Luke has crafted a project and sound inspired by a life of travel and a seaside escape. The unique dreamy indie/pop style of Butternut Sweetheart is influenced by modern boundary pushing writers Unknown Mortal Orchestra, Tuneyards and The Dirty Projectors, as well as older songwriting loves in Simon and Garfunkel and The Beatles.

‘Papercut’ is the mesmerising debut single from Butternut Sweetheart. Produced by Greg Walker (Machine Translations, Tiny Ruins, Paul Kelly), Papercut is out on February 15 and is accompanied by a compliment of east coast shows in Sydney, Thirroul, Canberra and Melbourne.

Pheno (fee-no) is Australian electric guitarist and singer Jess Green. As Pheno, she is pioneering her own style of Art-Pop. Influenced by artists such as Tune-Yards, Dirty Projectors and St Vincent, with a huge nod to 80’s heroes David Bowie and Talking Heads. Pheno has been touring NSW, WA, ACT and QLD including VIVID festival and Candelo Arts Festival. She plays solo as well as three piece with Alyx Dennison and Bonnie Stewart.
