Pergolesi was 26 years of age and dying when he wrote Stabat Mater, a setting of the 13th century poem about the Virgin Mary as she watched her son on the cross.

This work is very familiar to both soprano Greta Claringbould and countertenor Tobias Cole having performed it together for the last two years. They will be joined by the beautifully sensitive playing of pianist Linus Lee.
