The Tuesday Weld Experience will be playing their own brand of poppy/rocky/country long lonesome, broken-hearted love songs... And what is The Tuesday Weld Experience all about? Hard to say exactly, but for mine, it is all about original music; with a nod of the head to Paul Kelly, and Mick Thomas & Weddings Parties Anything. But then let's not forget the influence of early '80s pop on the sound: think Go-Betweens, Sunnyboys, Riptides, Hoodoo Gurus, and of course, a touch of country music.

The Rain Gauge is a Canberra based melodic guitar pop three piece band, with dark atmospheric edges. Matthew Simpson-Morgan sings and plays guitar and keys, Sam Backhouse is on bass, and Darren Atkinson is on drums and vocals; Darren also drummed with seminal Sydney indie faves Ups And Downs, and Big Heavy Stuff. Sonic comparisons can be drawn to the likes of Radiohead, The Church, Bowie, Beatles.
