The Fabulous Folk Rock Frenzy launches again after some virus down time. The Frenzy brings together the best of folk rock in the Canberra region and this time is no exception. The Dalmatians lead the way with like minded critters, Eyre Fowl, Meanwhile and Beth Monzo. Eyre Fowl have launched themselves through the Smith incubation process and are a new band to behold. Meanwhile are highly regarded folk rock exalters who put on a great show. The Dalmatians have recently expanded to become a five piece and their expression of the genre needs to be heard to be believed! Some more on these bands below.

The Dalmatians are taking rock music back to its folk future! Wil, Jonny, Naomi, Hayden and John provide funky riffs and memorable melodies delivered over rock, blues and ska rhythms. Influences include Mumford & Sons, Ed Sheeran, The Strokes, Arctic Monkeys, Paul Kelly, Oasis, Crowded House, David Bowie and REM. A Dalmatians show provides effortless grooves, catchy tunes, great story telling, and lush keys and vocal harmonies. And if you don’t know what a bouzouki is come and find out! At this event The Dalmatians will play all their most loved singles including Far Away Man, which is smashing it on the international film festival circuit. Beth Monzo has been an avid performer in Canberra for the past 15 years, producing unique and engaging original music. In her solo form the energy is kept high, guitar heavy and bold. Musical brothers, Goo and Phizzy Calligeros (of Wesley and the Crushers and the Vests) are gonna be playing the 20^th amminversary of their duo Meanwhile.
