Soundscapes at Smith’s: Reuben Ingall, Future Conduits & pxxl hxslxn

Join us Saturday night August 6 at the cosiest/finest venue in Civic for the next edition of Soundscapes — a monthly event at Smith’s Alternative that showcases some of Canberra’s finest electronica/experimental/instrumental artists.

Escape the winter cold and drink wine (in fact, arrive even earlier to grab a table and catch the excellent Feminartsy show at 7pm) while our three August artists - Future Conduits, Reuben Ingall and Pxxl Hxslxn - luxuriate your ears in lonely pop, electronic ramblings and modular synth melodies.

FUTURE CONDUITS

Future Conduits is the abused and neglected project of Nick McCorriston, and consists of any solo electronic ramblings that Nick may commit to tape at any given time. Nick may play with a variety of different sounds and instruments, he's never really sure.

REUBEN INGALL

Reuben Ingall makes music using an array of home-made software patches, algorithmically mangling his guitar, voice and other sources to create lonely pop and glitchy, psychedelic soundscapes.

pxxl hxslxn

paul heslin is a composer/producer/whatever based in canberra.
